Beauty Blogs Backstage is not quite a "link-love" network. It's not quite a "spotlight feature" network. It's got elements of both those things, but it isn't quite the same. Beauty bloggers will interview each other about their blogs, their passions, their motivations; and those interviews will be published in two places: once on the interviewer's blog, and once on this central hub.

If you blog about beauty - makeup, nail polish, skincare, cosmetics in general - you're eligible to apply to be part of Beauty Blogs Backstage.

Each round kicks off the 1st of each month - so look around, read about it, ask questions, and sign up!

  1. Register for the site
  2. Once you've been approved, come fill in your profile
  3. You'll be automatically signed up for the B3 mailing list
  4. Watch for emails from B3 - you'll get one every month with your partner's information

Jaimi, of Plays With Color, interviews Kay of Cosmeddicted. Check out the full interview at Plays With Color...or here.

  1. How did you get into beauty blogging?
Like many other people, I watch a lot of beauty related content on youtube. I started reading a few of the Asian girls’ blogs, and I wanted to join the community. I was surprised at how much the girls in the UK/US knew about Japanese drugstore brands such as Kate, Visee, and Canmake!

  1. In your first post, you said that you are just starting with makeup. What got you interested in it?
Really, the main thing was realizing that I actually looked a bit older with makeup on! I'm 31, but look a lot younger, and I'd like to be taken more seriously and treated as though I'm my age out in the workforce. (Then again, bright pink eyeshadow doesn't make anyone look older by any means, but it's a lot of fun!)

  1. Are you a 'snob' about anything besides makeup?
I think I can be. I tend to have an idea that things should be a certain way ( i.e food, coffee, service, lol ) and I sometimes can voice my opinions in a "snobby" manner. But for the most part I am really easy going about most things.

  1. What’s your favorite part of blogging?
I love getting to try all these new products and being introduced to brands I otherwise never would have heard of. I’ve also met so many industry professionals and fellow bloggers who have so much to teach. As much as I write a lot of my blog to inform others, I have actually learned sooo much from being a beauty blogger too!

Cindy, of Prime Beauty, interviews Amira of Cucumpear's Pandemonium of Cosmetics. Check out the full interview at Prime Beauty...or here.

  1. Why did you decide to start a blog? How long have you been blogging?
I’ve written personal blogs before, but I only delved into the world of beauty blogs recently. I started my current blog last September, mostly because I don’t really have anyone in my offline life who’d be interested in what I put on my nails or what awesome new product I found.

  1. Have you ever tried a product that you desperately wanted to work only to find that it was a absolute fail?
I have always wanted to be able to do winged eyeliner with a liquid liner. I've tried a few "pen" type that are supposed to be easy and I am hopelessly clumsy with it. Not the fault of the product--just me.
